PPCF/EPS/IUPAP Student Poster Prize

The international journal Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion (PPCF), the European Physical Society (EPS) and the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) are proud to jointly sponsor the PPCF/EPS/IUPAP Student Poster Prize at the EPS Plasma Physics conference.

The competition is judged by members of the Conference Programme Committee. There is up to four prizes awarded to the winning posters. The competition is only open to PhD students.

  • Aridai Bordón Sánchez (Universidad de Las Palmas, Spain) for «Spectroscopic and MHD modelling of strongly magnetized cylindrical implosions at the National Ignition Facility»
  • Ida Ekmark (Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden) for «Fluid and kinetic modeling of runaway electron seed generation during disruptions»
  • Julien Herbelot (Aix Marseille University, France) for «Electric field measurements in the presence of magnetic field with the EFILE diagnostic»
  • Thershi Siddarth Seebaruth (Sorbonee University, France) for «Simulations and experiments of shocks in weakly collisional plasma»

CLPU/HPLSE People's Choice Poster Prize

This year, Centro de Laseres Pulsados Ultracortos Ultraintensos (CLPU) invites all Poster Presenters to participate in People’s Choice Poster Competition, which is sponsored by High Power Laser Science and Engineering (HPLSE).

This competition takes place online in the Whova EPS 2024 Official App. All posters presenters are encouraged to participate, and everybody is welcomed to vote in the App.

Note: Whova is available as Mobile Application, but also in the Web browser.

The winner of this Popular Poster Prize has been… Emilia Solano (Laboratorio Nacional de Fusión, CIEMAT ) for «Potential research programme for JET with W wall and ECRH»

ATTENTION POSTER PRESENTERS: All presenters must PRINT their poster and present it at the Conference.

All winners will be announced in the closing session of the conference as well as on the conference website.
